Donations and Gifts
Whether it is a matter of virtual or analogue work related to learning and presentation, realising exhibitions, producing an exhibition catalogue, enhancing our artist-in-residence programme or purchasing a work, we need support to carry out our diverse tasks and would enjoy receiving your donation.
You can use the form below to support us directly. Please fill in the line Purpose of my donation with the project that means most to you.
Our most important current projects:
1 - CLASSIC! – Anna Ancher - Sun. Light. Skagen.: exhibition catalogue
2 - DYNAMIC! - West Coast Art Collection Online: research and digitisation project
3 - YOUNG! -Made on Föhr. Island Youth – Andreas Jorns: exhibition catalogue
4 - Artist-in-Residence Programm In addition to organising and coordinating their journey and stay and establishing networking opportunities when they are here, we offer invited artists free housing, payment of their travel costs and a small fee for personal expenses or materials. Each year we would like to be able to make at least €10,000 available so that, over the course of the year, around three to five artists can spend time working next to the Museum Kunst der Westküste and on Föhr.
At any time, you can financially support the projects of the MKdW with an online donation here. Your data will be transmitted in encrypted form to guarantee the maximum level of security.
Your donation will be employed exclusively for tax-deductible purposes. To receive an official receipt for your donation for tax purposes, please enter your address in the field 'donation receipt'.
Thank you for your support!

The starting point for the exhibition operations has been the top-quality West Coast Art Collection which, currently comprising more than 720 works, was made accessible to the public. The collection focuses on painting from four littoral countries of the North Sea ‒ Norway, Denmark, North Germany and the Netherlands – in the period from 1830 to 1930. The collecting concept encompasses the great landscapes as well as the living and working environment along the west coast.
As a result of private donations and permanent loans from private collections, the first-rate collection continuously grows, expanding year after year. Please contact us for more information regarding you support!
Donations by will
We are extremely grateful when people such as the museum’s founder and patron, Prof. Frederik Paulsen, do a great deal to help the Museum Kunst der Westküste continue to pursue its mission.
It is a particular honour to us when our museum receives a donation by will. Are you interested in expressing your appreciation for the artistic work in a lasting way and consider our museum in your last will? We would me very much obliged to you for this special form of commitment. We will gladly advise you about the individual options – please do not hesitate to contact us.
